Profile



Jeremy Fernie is a third year student of the University of Toronto, studying both English and Communication, Culture and Information Technology (CCIT) as his chosen majors. While his University campus is set in Mississauga, Jeremy has been attending classes at the Oakville campus of Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, as the CCIT program requirements entail. In addition to his studies, Jeremy’s time is also spent providing aid in CCIT tutorial classes when needed or requested, as well as independently producing digital works outside of class for clients.

  • Lead web designer — 2006
    • Commissioned by Professor Benick, Professor Gelb, Professor Hearn, Professor Jones, Professor Szeto to produce a website showcasing student work from various CCIT classes at the Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, to be used in a CCIT student work gala event.
  • Lead web designer — 2006
    • Recommended by Professor Littlejohn and commissioned by Professor Benick to produce a website showcasing student works for a class, to be used during the Teaching, Learning and Technology Conference at Carleton University.
  • Teachers Assistant — 2004-2005
    • Hired by Professor Andison as a Teachers Assistant for Design 1 at Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.

Skills



Jeremy Fernie is proficient in every medium of digital media, including graphic design and print, web design, photography, video (filming, editing and compression), sound. Jeremy’s software training to-date includes Adobe Creative Suite 2, Apple Final Cut Pro, Apple Motion, Apple Aperture, Microsoft Office, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Flash, and he works in both Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh operating systems. Jeremy Fernie is very capable and experienced with teaching and problem solving software and hardware in the realm of digital media.
